"Forecasting Markets: The Capital Update for 2006" is a repeat of our very popular and successful January 2005 program that covered the same topic while looking ahead at the current year.

Our local panel is moderated by Tricia Duryee, the Seattle Times technology reporter on telecommunications and venture capital, and includes Gary Ritner, Principal of Ritner and Co, Founder/Co-Manager of The Puget Sound Venture Club and  Bill McSherry, Director of Economic Development for the Puget Sound Regional Council.

What the current climate is for entrepreneurs looking for capital and venture funding;

  • How a company should approach their financing strategy;
  • The steps one entrepreneur took to raise capital in today’s economy; and
  • A forecast of the public markets – domestic and global – for the coming twelve months.

The national panel of experts includes:

  • Bob Crowley, president of the Massachusetts Technology Development Council;
  • Ned Hazen, managing director of Lighthouse Capital Partners;
  • Martin Hensel, chief executive officer of Texterity, Inc.;
  • T.L. Stebbins, managing director and chairman of Investment Banking for Adams Harkness; and
